The program

Confidence they keep long after class.

Parents bring their kids to us for martial arts. What they tell us months later is that their kid is more confident, more focused, and better at listening, at home and at school. That is the real win. The skills are how we get there.

Kids Martial Arts at The Dojang is built to develop the whole kid. Students learn to set big goals and actually reach them, to stand up to bullies without starting fights, and to keep going when something is hard. They do it through real technique, games that burn energy, and supervised live training matched to age and size.

We hold a genuine standard, and kids rise to it. Belts and stripes are earned here, never handed out, which is exactly why the kids who wear them stand a little taller.

What it builds

What your kid walks out with.

Confidence

The quiet kind that comes from doing hard things and getting better at them every week. It shows up at school long before it shows up on the mat.

Discipline and focus

Respect, self control, and the ability to set a goal and chase it. Parents tell us they notice it at the dinner table, not just in class.

Standing up to bullies

Real skills to handle themselves, and the calm confidence that means they rarely have to use them. We teach standing up without starting fights.

Your first class

What a first class looks like.

Nervous kids are our specialty. Here is how the first class usually goes.

1

Arrive and meet a coach

We greet your kid by name, introduce them to a coach, and let them get comfortable before anything starts.

2

Warm up with games

Movement games that burn energy and get them smiling. This is where the first day nerves usually disappear.

3

Learn a real technique

A coach teaches one clear skill and helps your kid do it right, celebrating the effort the whole way.

4

Supervised live practice

Practice matched by age and size, under close supervision. Safe, controlled, and the part they brag about at home.

Questions

What parents ask first.

What age can my kid start?
As young as 4. Our Moogies group is built for ages 4 to 7, and our Kids classes run from 8 to 12. We place every child by readiness, not just birthday, so bring them to a free class and we will find the right fit.
Is the training safe for young kids?
Yes. Live practice is always supervised, always matched by age and size, and introduced gradually. Safety and control come first, every single time.
Will this make my kid aggressive?
The opposite. We teach discipline, respect, and self control, and we coach kids to stand up to bullies without starting fights. Confident kids pick fewer fights, not more.
My kid is shy, or has a lot of energy. Is that okay?
Both are welcome, and both do great here. Shy kids build confidence fast, and high energy kids finally have somewhere to put it. Our coaches are used to the full range.
What should my kid wear to the first class?
Comfortable athletic clothes and a water bottle. We will explain any uniform or gear once they are enrolled in a program.
